Bit slow on updating with sessions I have been doing but trying to catch up. :)
Ah Sam- always so great to work with and always up for something new. We went down to the Mississippi River front in St. Paul taking some photos in an old loading dock area as well as on the walkway by the river. The weather was a bit warm but overall- great lighting for photos and was a wonderful inspiration for different poses and composition. Please enjoy this sampling of new photos.
Doesn’t she just rock this out?

Yep doing catch up- everyone is going to be super familiar with Sam around here haha. Go team! I hope she does amazingly well in New York this July… This was actually taken prior to the photos down by the river in St. Paul but is being uploaded second because… well I get behind in my blog updates so you are getting a whammy of stuff and don’t expect it to slow down. :)

Sam always lets me try and give her some different looks when it comes to lighting- she is very patient with my putzing. :) Light is placed behind the couch and Sam obviously. You can see the light flare near the center of the image.

I really loved these lacy curtains that were over the windows at this hotel. So we tried something different and there you have it- creativity can always give you something new and interesting.

More fun with the curtains- I love how soft of a look Sam was able to convey in this image. She improves with every shoot we do.

We went out to the historic train in Stillwater and took some photos with the assistance of some well aimed headlights :D Light is light and it all works if you can just figure out how to use it.
If anyone is interested in prints of these photos I will have them up in the store shortly or you can e-mail me if that takes longer than expected.
Please enjoy.

Here is another photo from my water series. I hope you enjoy it, this one is actually completed on the editing side unlike my previous post. Sorry I missed updating on Wednesday, the week really got away from me!

I was inspired to do some different personal projects and one of them was an idea for working with water. I love the grace of dancers and the beauty of movement in fabrics, forms, water, etc. I did two sessions working with water and this one is actually the second one. The first was done yesterday night and this session was done today. I think the second try was a great improvement to the first but I still love a lot of the images from Sunday. So here is a sneak peak for a couple of the images. These versions done prior to completing editing but I just couldn’t wait to share. I hope you enjoy them as much as Sam and I enjoyed making them! :)
